The 7th Annual KidSport Saskatoon Fun and Fitness Corporate Challenge was held on May 5th at the SaskTel Soccer Centre and raised $42,000 for KidSport Saskatoon.  The challenge had over 125 participants along with 30 volunteers and included five challenging events: Bubble Ball Soccer, Back Yard Relay, Shot in the Dark Volleyball, Handball and Old School Relay.

“Every year KidSport Saskatoon is amazed by the support we receive from organizations and people in our community.  This event would not be the success it is without all of our participants, volunteers, media partners, and of course corporate sponsors,” said Brendon Lee, Chair of the KidSport Saskatoon Fun and Fitness Corporate Challenge. “We are committed to growing this event and increasing our ability to impact the youth in Saskatoon in such a positive way.  Thank you to everyone who was a part of this special day and we can’t wait until next year.”

The 22nd Annual KidSport Regina Fun and Fitness Corporate Challenge raised over $132,000 thanks to the efforts of 28 teams. This brings the total funds raised to more than $1.6 million since the annual fundraising event began 22 years ago, with 100 per cent of the proceeds going back to help Saskatchewan children and youth.

The event, proudly presented by Great West Life, London Life and Canada life, was held on Saturday, May 12th at the University of Regina. The challenge featured eight events: Riddle Me This, Ping Pong Baseball, Human Hungry Hippos, Field Frenzie, Crossfit, Capture the Flag, Axe Throwing/Picnic Games and Multi-Sport Relay.  These events relied on over 40 volunteers.

“Thank you to the participants for their fundraising efforts and amazing team spirit, the volunteers for their dedication prior to and during the event, our media partners, and our sponsors – particularly our presenting sponsor Great West Life, London Life and Canada Life,” said Briana Bolduc, Chair of the KidSport Regina Fun and Fitness Corporate Challenge. “You have directly helped 520 kids in Regina get off the sidelines and into the game.”

The 1st Annual KidSport Prince Albert Fun and Fitness Corporate Challenge was held at the Alfred Jenkins Field House.  The challenge was held on May 26th and had six teams along with volunteers.  The event raised over $16,700 and the featured five events: Pickle Ball, Shot in the Dark Volleyball, Bubble Ball Soccer, Old School Relay, and Sit Ski.

“On behalf of the 4600 financially disadvantaged kids in Prince Albert I would like to thank all of the partner donors, team sponsors and volunteers who supported and made possible Prince Albert’s first ever KidSport Fun & Fitness Corporate Challenge. Without the support of these organizations and individuals the KidSport Prince Albert Committee could not have operated this very important fundraising event,” said Dwight Bergstrom, Chair of the KidSport Prince Albert Fun and Fitness Corporate Challenge. “Thanks to the supporters of this and other KidSport Prince Albert events, every time our Committee raises $240 another child can be funded to participate in sport so ALL Kids Can Play.”

KidSport is a registered children’s charity that provides grants worth up to $750 to help children and youth from families facing financial obstacles participate in sport, so ALL Kids Can Play.
