Having participated in sport throughout her child and adult life, and throughout the lives of her daughters, Alison Fulkerth has seen the many benefits that sport can offer.

“Connecting families with funding for sport has always been a priority for me,” she said. “We know that times can be tough for parents and sport can be expensive and we want to take away as many barriers as possible So ALL Kids Can Play!”

Fulkerth also knows that the ability to provide funding wouldn’t be possible without the support of the Lloydminster community during the chapter’s fundraisers.

Case in point, the chapter just finished a fundraising raffle at the beginning of December, which involved selling tickets for a pair of leather recliners autographed by Don Cherry and Ron McLean, and a hockey stick signed by Haley Wickenheiser that she used in the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.
As for getting others to volunteer for KidSport, Fulkerth encourages people to contact their local chapter and see how they can help.
