Brendon Lee was searching for a way to do something within his community and work with youth when he first joined KidSport. More than five years later, Brendon continues to give back to the community as the Chair of the KidSport Saskatoon chapter.


As a lifelong participant in sport himself, Brendon knows the career and life benefits that come from being able to participate in sport at a young age.

“I learned a lot about teamwork, commitment, dedication, perseverance and hard work while playing sports,” he said. “You also get the opportunity to build relationships and networks that stay with you throughout your life.”


And when it comes to sharing sport experiences, not only does Brendon get to share his with the KidSport participants, but he also has the chance to hear back about the experiences from the participants that KidSport has helped—it’s his favourite part.

Being able to provide those opportunities So ALL Kids Can Play comes with the need to secure funding. With that in mind, Brendon and the rest of the KidSport Saskatoon chapter are always working on different ways to fundraise.

“We recently wrapped up a Chase the Ace fundraiser,” he said. “And we’ve started planning the Corporate Challenge for May.”
