The provincial government has officially proclaimed the month of May as KidSport Month in Saskatchewan. During May, funds and awareness will be raised for KidSport by local KidSport committees throughout the province. Individuals interested can get involved by donating, volunteering, or supporting a local fundraising event.  KidSport Month is proudly presented by Great West Life, London Life and Canada Life. Each year, corporate partners and schools also partake in KidSport Month, which help assist children of families facing financial obstacles to participate in their favorite sports so that all kids can play.

There are currently hundreds of volunteers across 41 communities in the province that administer KidSport in their own community to help kids get off the sidelines and in the game. Activities during this year’s KidSport Month include:

• BBQ’s, dinners, casual dress down days and many other fundraisers
• The Saskatoon KidSport Fun and Fitness Corporate Challenge will be held on May 6th and the KidSport Regina Fun and Fitness Corporate Challenge, also proudly sponsored by Great West Life, London Life, and Canada Life will be held on May 27th.
