SASKATOON – A $100,000 gift from K+S Potash Canada will help KidSport support young lacrosse and hockey players across the province.

“Every year KidSport assists thousands of children and youth to participate in sport and enrich their lives – something we couldn’t do without the support from business community leaders, such as K+S Potash Canada,” said Jerry Shoemaker, KidSport Saskatchewan Provincial Chair. “This is an investment into families in our communities and an investment into future leaders in the province. This gift will truly make a difference in the lives of the families and children.”

As part of the K+S Youth + Us community investment program, the $100,000 partnership with KidSport Saskatchewan will fund all lacrosse grants delivered by KidSport throughout the province in 2019. In addition, the gift will support hockey youth program grants in Treaty 4 Territory.

“Our new Youth + Us program is about providing young people access to more that matters,” says Maeghan Dubois, Manager, Communications and Corporate Affairs, K+S Potash Canada. “A part of this means enriching young bodies and minds by nurturing physical, emotional and mental health. Our partnership will help KidSport do what they do best: help Saskatchewan’s youth participate in sporting activities such as lacrosse and hockey.”
