As part of a school project, Ethan Malcom of Sherwood has created a GoFundMe page in support of KidSport PEI.

The rising cost of sport has inspired Grade 12 Student Ethan Malcom to create a fundraising initiative for KidSport PEI.  Having grown up in Sherwood, and now attending Mercersburg Academy, a private boarding school in the US, Ethan knows first-hand the burden of rising sport fees.

Growing up playing Hockey, Ethan saw how difficult it was for many families to afford equipment and registration fees.  This inspired him to create a GoFundMe page, and donate the proceeds to KidSport in order to help families afford the costs of getting their children in the game.

Ethan’s goal is simple, raise $500 and donate the money to KidSport.  The program provides assistance, to those who qualify, for sport equipment and registration fees.  KidSport provides grants up to $300 and is continually raising money to cover all qualified applicants.

To make a donation, please visit https://www.gofundme.com/Peiyouthhockeyfundraiser?lang=en-US and help Ethan make a difference in PEI’s sport community today!
