The Glen Park Public School Wolf Pack hockey team started in 2011 thanks to the dream of a 10 year old grade 4 student, Brenden Kennedy.  Brenden loved hockey and wondered why his school did not have a hockey team to give more kids the chance to play his favourite sport.  After rallying up student support, Brenden proposed the prospect of a school ice hockey team to teachers and administrators at Glen Park.

On Friday February 26th, Glen Park PS hosted its 2nd outdoor “Winter Classic” at Glen Long Arena (Dufferin & Lawrence) to celebrate the end of its 5th hockey season.  Glen Park P.S. raised funds for KidSport Ontario during the event because it aligns with the philosophy of Wolf Pack Hockey Program; to provide an opportunity for students to play cost-free organized hockey for the first time.

Three other TDSB schools (Brock, Bennington and William Burgess) attended the event to celebrate the game of hockey and to raise money to help others enjoy the same opportunities to play. The focus of the Glen Park program is to introduce as many kids to the game of hockey as it can, and provide them with an opportunity to represent their school in the TDSB league.
