Calgary, AB – The Calgary Flames alongside Johnny Gaudreau are proud to announce details on a new community program in support of KidSport Calgary & Area.
Now entering his fifth season with the club, Gaudreau will donate $1,000 for every goal he scores during the 2017-18 campaign to the cause. Along with the donation, in partnership with Remington Development Corporation, the three-time All-Star will host children from low-income families in a suite at select home games this season that will include the opportunity to meet Gaudreau after the game.
“I am ecstatic to become an athlete ambassador for KidSport Calgary,” said Johnny Gaudreau. “Every child should have the opportunity to play sports and I look forward to supporting this incredible charity in ensuring no one is left on the sidelines.”
“We are thrilled to be able to add Johnny Gaudreau to the amazing list of athlete ambassadors who are committed to supporting our cause in this community”, noted Kevin Webster, Executive Director of KidSport Calgary. “We have no doubt with Johnny’s support we will make great strides toward making it So ALL Kids Can Play! On behalf of the thousands of local kids granted sport opportunities each year, thank you Johnny, Remington Development Corporation and the Calgary Flames Foundation for this exceptional partnership!”
The Calgary Flames Foundation matches each player’s donations up to $25,000.
