KidSport NWT is administered by the Sport North Federation and is governed by a volunteer committee that is responsible for the overall policy and operations of the program in the Northwest Territories.
All funds are used to help NWT children (age 18 and under) reach their potential. KidSport clears the way for kids to get involved in sport by providing support for registration fees and making sure they've got the equipment they need. The amount of funding available is based on fundraising initiatives and will vary from year to year.
Money is raised through contributions by the corporate sector, individual donations, as well as through special activities and events, in order to help pay for sport registration fees and offset the cost of equipment so that all kids can play.
