KidSport is pleased to welcome a new member to our family, I-Want-To-Own, a Vancouver based client-focused mortgage company. I-Want-To-Own has made a pledge to fundraise $45,000 over three years to help ease financial access to sports programs for children. Through its referral program, I-Want-To-Own will donate $200 towards the KidSport fund for every new referral partnership established.
I-Want-To-Own believes in the balance between quality of life and affordability. Ensuring that children have financial access to sports increases the health and well-being of our youth, and strengthens the quality of our communities. "As a mortgage company, I-Want-To-Own wants to provide more than just excellent financing; we continue to support the healthy lifestyle of families and children across Vancouver," says David Ford, director of I-Want-To-Own.
As a result of this fundraising commitment, more than a 150 children in Vancouver neighborhoods will be able to enjoy the benefits of competitive sport. As the season warms up for the summer, and outdoor activities are filling up Vancouver sport facilities, this partnership could not have come at a better time.
This partnership will also see collaboration with KidSport at flagship Vancouver events, such as Dodge for Kids, KidSport Swimathon and the Gift of Sport. These combined efforts will enhance awareness of the benefits of sport, and help more kids get into the game.
