    Two-time Olympian, Alexa Loo joined Team Canada for the 2006 Games in Turin and 2010 Games in Vancouver. She is the first Canadian woman to compete at an Olympic Winter Games in the parallel giant slalom event. Winning a World Cup bronze medal in 2006 in Italy, this marks the first medal to be won by a Canadian woman snowboarder. In 2009, Loo also took home another World Cup bronze medal in the United States. She has colelcted 13 top-10 finishes at World Cup events and many first-place finishes at Nor-Am Cups.

    Alexa serves as Canada’s snowboard athlete representative to the International Ski Federation (FIS) and is a member of the AthletesCAN board of Directors. She also volunteers as a seeing-eye guide for the International Paralympic Committee. This Richmond native graduated from the University of British Columbia with a bachelor of commerce and secured a Chartered Accountant designation in 1998.
