KidSport is pleased to announce that for the third consecutive year, BC Soccer has made a donation of $10,000 to KidSport BC! These funds will be allocated to assist KidSport in ensuring that more BC kids get off the sideline and into “the beautiful game”.

Soccer is the number one funded sport in terms of KidSport grants and in 2016 there were 2,489 young soccer players who received just over $545,750 in grants to help them play a season of soccer.

“The relationship with KidSport will further enhance and deliver against a number of BC Soccer strategic objectives including increasing the number of registered soccer players in BC, ensuring there are affordable grassroots and high performance programs and increasing the number of initiatives to attract new players and enhance the diversity of participants”, said BC Soccer Executive Director Jason Elligott.

“This generous donation from BC Soccer further emphasizes the philosophy that KidSport has always espoused…that it takes a village to raise a child! The support of BC Soccer and sets the bar for other sport organizations to ensure the long term sustainability of KidSport funding" according to KidSport BC Director Pete Quevillon.
