It is with great pleasure and pride, I announce that Keyano Athletics aka the Huskies have joined forces with KidSport Wood Buffalo and come on board as a strategic partner.
Another piece of great news is that Harvard Broadcasting that includes Radio Mix 103.7 and Cruz 100.5 has also decided to join us in our mission to make sport activities accessible for every child in the region as they have become our media partners for the year 2020.
And if this was not enough, the year 2020 going to be a year of celebration for everyone involved because it is the 25th anniversary of KidSport in Alberta. The whole year will be marked and celebrated with various fun and engaging events and activities that will be supported by both of our partners.
KidSport provides funds to children ages 0 to 18 in the region of Wood Buffalo to participate in any sports activity of their choice where a financial need has been established. Only in 2019, we funded close to 400 children in our region into 25 different sports clubs. Keeping the children in need funded and keeping the organization going is always our priority. We are very optimistic that having relationships like these will elevate some of the stress of keeping our doors open in order to continue to assist the families, that need us the most. Thinking creatively and expanding on partnerships like these, is the way forward.
Having these partners on board means the world to us at KidSport Wood Buffalo.
It means that our partners share the vision of no child left behind on the sidelines due to financial barrier. It also means that our community impact will double with the efforts of partners like the Huskies and Harvard Broadcasting. We will have a great year together.
Keep your eyes and ears on social media and radio Mix 103.7 and Cruz 100.3 to get the latest on our most exciting events. The first of which will be hosted by Keyano College on Jan. 17, 2020 at the end of the Junior Huskies camp that day, which will include a BBQ by donation and live music on site.
More details to follow.
