KidSport Parkland hosted the 6th annual KidSport Parkland Golf Tournament on Thursday, June 14 at the Links of Spruce Grove. A full complement of players supported by many generous sponsors helped the event raise over $33,000!
KidSport Parkland helps youth in local communities by aiding with registration fees and equipment for sport participation. KidSport Parkland sponsors around 300 young people in the tri-area with over $85,000 per year in registrations. The KidSport goal is to reach even more youth and give everyone a fair opportunity to participate in the sports they love regardless of economic barriers.
KidSport Parkland Golf Tournament Chair, Grant Cammidge, thanks all sponsors, participants, and volunteers for bringing together another amazing event. "We're excited to be able to contribute these funds to such a terrific community cause. All kids deserve to play and we're going to continue to make sure they all have that opportunity." Over the last 6 years the annual event has raised over $211,000 with all proceeds staying in the local community.
Special thanks to Manulife Securities and Thompson Construction Group for their generous contributions to this tournament.
