Sometimes out of tragedy, something good is created. Such is the case with the Logan Boulet Fund.
When Boulet passed away in the Humboldt Broncos bus crash, he created what is now known as the Logan Boulet Effect – as over a hundred-thousand people took his lead to donate their organs.
Like a ripple in a lake, The Logan Boulet Effect will continue on many different ways, benefitting many different people and organizations.
KidSport Lethbridge/Taber is one such organization. With the help of Logan’s parents, Toby and Bernie, the local KidSport chapter has established the Logan Boulet Fund, So ALL Kids Can Play.
Sports were a huge part of his life, for making both friends and memories. He played his entire minor hockey in Lethbridge, was part of the Winston Churchill rugby team, and also participated in badminton, soccer and curling.
According to his dad, “Logan was always a giver, not a taker. He knew that service is the rent you pay to live your life on this earth”.
“Logan understood that many athletes he played with had to make financial choices in order to play”, said Toby Boulet, “and he would be extremely proud to have the Logan Boulet Fund in place to help financially disadvantaged kids”. Logan wants all athletes to "Work Hard, Play Hardand to Have Fun" just as he did everytime he played!
Currently the Logan Boulet Fund is at $72,302.75.
