Calgary, AB - I Got Mind is very excited to announce a new partnership with KidSport in
supporting the mental health and well-being of young athletes.
“We are thrilled to have worked out a partnership with KidSport’, say’s Bob Wilkie President of I
Got Mind Inc. “The purpose of this tour is to educate athletes, parents and coaches to the
issues of Mental Health in all sports, and who better to partner with then an institution like
KidSport who help families that struggle to get their kids into sports.”
Kevin Webster is the Executive Director of the KidSport Calgary office say’s, “We are always
happy to develop new partnerships that assists our mandate. The I Got Mind Tour is a great
event for athletes and parents to attend. There are so many valuable life skills that sports can
develop and creating the awareness of Mental Health in sport is a great initiative to support.”
All profits from book sales from “Sudden Death” and “Calling the Shots” which are authored by
Bob Wilkie and Kelly Hrudey will be donated. Also, all profits from all apparel sales and 20% of
all tickets purchased through a special link created for KidSport will be given to KidSport
Calgary. “We are happy to give back, that is what the Tour is all about,” say’s Bob Wilkie. “We
sat as a group and talked about who we can assist, and KidSport helps so many families it was
a natural fit.”
I Got Mind’s mission for the upcoming tour is to create an awareness around mental
health in young athletes and breaking down the social stigmas around the words
‘mental health’. The tour will kick off October 18, 2018 in Calgary at the Boyce Theatre
at the Calgary Stampede, with follow up shows in Edmonton on November 29th, 2018
at the Oasis Centre, and Vancouver on December 13th at the Coastal Coal Harbour
